What age group is the course History Speaks appropriate for?

Our course is based on information that was taken from our textbook IMPACT BLACKS IN OKLAHOMA HISTORY Second Edition. This textbook was adopted by the Oklahoma State Department of Education Curriculum Committee for history classes for ninth grade and up. The course is appropriate for ages fourteen and up.

How many lessons will I be able to choose from?

There are currently five stand- alone lessons to choose from. Each lesson is sold separately.

How long is each lesson?

Each lesson ranges from approximately 40 minutes to an hour and twenty minutes in length.

Will I have access to the lessons indefinitely?

No. Just like many online and college level courses and lessons, your access will not be indefinite. You will have access to lessons for a total of 21 days after purchase.

Do you offer group discounts for a classroom, school or community group?

How do I gain access to the course lessons?

With each paid enrollment, you will submit your email address. This is what you will use to help you login. If you change email addresses, kindly let us know.

Will I need the textbook IMPACT BLACKS IN OKLAHOMA HISTORY Second Edition in order to take the class and be successful?

No. Although much of the information in the course is taken from the state approved textbook, you will not need the book to be successful in the course. The online lessons have used the textbook as a foundation, but we have added much more information.

I am one of the first forty paid in full course participants, when will I receive my limited- edition History Speaks t-shirt? ($30.00 value)

T-shirts will be mailed out after your fifth week of the course. Please remember to enroll early as there are a limited number of sizes and colors of these adult sized only t-shirts. The first forty enrollees will receive an email with instructions on how to order their t-shirt, size and confirm the mailing address the shirt should be sent to. Individuals who have requested a refund are not eligible for the free t-shirt.

What is the cost of the online lessons?

The cost of each individual lesson is priced separately. This is to ensure that students are only paying for what their individual's interests and needs are. (All taxes, shipping and handling is included in the price). Our interesting and engaging lessons took thousands of hours of research and preparation to ensure your educational enjoyment and interest.

Do you have payment plan options?

Not currently. Each lesson is paid in full at the time of enrollment.

If my high schooler take any or all of these lessons, will they be able to use them as credit towards their graduation since most of the covered material is required in high schools in Oklahoma?

No. Although most of the information covered in our courses are required standards for high school aged children in the state of Oklahoma, we have not begun the process of having this course approved. Unfortunately, this course has NOT been approved for credit toward graduation.
