FIVE TRIBES PT I - This lesson has information about the Five Tribes. The Indian Removal Act, Trail of Tears, Slavery in the tribes, and information about Freedmen and Maroons.




FIVE TRIBES PT II - This lesson covers information about the importance of the Black people in the Five Tribes. We discuss how Blacks had the role of Chiefs, Leaders and Interpreters in the tribe. The 13th Amendment and Juneteenth is covered. Life for the Freedmen, Treaties of 1866, and the Dawes Roll, is also taught. The struggles the Freedmen of today face and the Freedmen's Fight for Justice.







EDUCATORS AND EDUCATION - This complete lesson teaches about educators and integration in the schools in the state of Oklahoma. "Separate But Equal is discussed." Dowell vs Board of Education, and integration by bussing to include the Finger Plan in Oklahoma City. Many great educators and individuals who challenged laws that affected our schools are discussed, to include George McLaurin, Ada Sipuel Fisher, Inman Page, Zelia Breaux, John H. Franklin and others.












ALL BLACK TOWNS PT I - This lesson gives information about the All-Black towns in Oklahoma. Between 1865 to 1920, Blacks in Oklahoma created more than 50 towns and settlements. There were more All-Black towns in Oklahoma than all the rest of the country put together. Today there are only thirteen. This lesson goes into depth about each of the remaining All-Black Towns and their beginning. Many interesting historical facts and the 15th Amendment and the Voting Rights Act is also taught in this lesson.

PHYSICIANS & MEDICAL FACILITIES - This lesson will cover many things about the state of the medical profession in the state of Oklahoma. The challenges Blacks had to endure for medical treatment. We will teach about Dr. Wyatt H. Slaughter who was the first Black physician in Oklahoma City, Dr. Gravelly E. Finley, and many other individuals who sought to improve medical care for the people in the state.
